Baseball, Protest and LA Fun

So Timmy had his last game during the play-offs. We are so looking forward to Fall Ball since we really miss going to his games and to his practices.

Michael enjoying his cars in the tub.

Timmy had to do a book report and make a puppet of the main character. Can you guess who his subject might be?

Yes, it is Manny Ramirez of the LA Dodgers!

Timmy at open house. Can you believe that we only have two more weeks of school? Then Timmy will be going into the fifth grade!

So, the superintendent of our school district demoted our principal for what is turning our to be political reasons. He did this at a former school district where he was removed. We decided to protest and we even made the local paper. We went into the board meeting and we are organizing to try to either help get her job back or to get Villegas recalled. We are planning more activity soon!

We went to the Griffith Observatory on Saturday. It sits high above LA in the Hollywood Hills.

What a view!
Above LA!
Enjoying the view!

Then we went to Travel Town which is on the other side of the Hollywood Hills. It is where many trains go to retire and are enjoyed by children of all ages!

Waiting to board the train.

All aboard!

Michael gets another boo boo

Michael and the stairs at the playground met each other face to face the other day. That red spot is slowly turning purple...it's a nasty looking bruise. I finally got a good look at his mouth this afternoon and it looks like ground beef.... Five minutes after meeting the stairs, he fell again and cut his ear. Sad thing is we're already on a first name basis with the peds office. There was no massive bleeding, no bones sticking out and no need to go to the ER so he's fine.

Michael on his firetruck!

Dodger Game

Mannywood!!! For $99 you can get two seats and a Mannywood t-shirt....we didn't sit there!

Daddy and I took Timmy to see the Dodgers play. We had a blast, while Michael stayed with Gee Gee and Paw Paw. First we got lost on the way to the stadium, took a nice tour of a few neighborhoods and finally got there right as they opened the gates to get in. Then I accidently hit this woman's car with my door and didn't even realize it until she screamed at me. It was quite funny as she was yelling her husband was yelling at her that she does this all the time and has the paint at home. We finally got to our seats and Timmy got an Ethier jersey since it was Kid's Appreciation Day. Dad took Tim over to see the players warming up, but no one would come over to sign autographs....and Manny didn't play that day, which was a disappointment. But we had a BLAST and loved watching our Dodgers in person!
